Cho Sohyun took opponent player's ball in the 21th and then directly tried right foot shooting from the around of penalty arc. Cho succeeded to make the first goal with the shooting. Ji Soyun made consecutive goals in two matches by scoring an additional goal in the 51th. National Team who also beat Russia 1-0 in the first match against Russia on 5th brightened the future to going Canada by making two victories in a row.

After the friendly matches, National team players go back to their own clubs and then gather again on 8 May in Paju NFC. They prepares in earnest for World Cup there. Park eunseon - Ji soyun combination first showed in Korea

Park Eunseon-Ji Soyun Combination was appeared in Korea for the first time this day. Park Eunseon who was born in 1986 and Ji Soyun who was born in 1991 never played in same club and only played together in international competition held in overseas as national team players. Park Eunseon couldn’t join the National team after 2005 East Asian Cup and she just came back to the team last year. Therefore, Park didn’t played many games with Ji Soyun who has participated in the national team from 2006. Only at the three group matches of Vietnam Women’s Asian Cup last year and first match of Cyprus Cup on March, two players properly kept in step each other as starting members. In the Incheon Asian Game, Park couldn’t join the national team and then Korean fans couldn’t see the combination as well.

Coach Yoon Dukyeo preannounced before the official training on 7th that he will put Park Eunseon and Ji Soyun together. Park Eunseon couldn’t join the first match against Russia on 5th because she injured her ankle during the training on 4th. Now Park is not in perfect condition, but Coach Yoon wanted to check Park’s play since it’s the last domestic warm-up match before the Women’s World Cup on June.

Park Eunseon and Ji Soyun played as an out-and-out striker and deep-lying forward each. Jung Seolbin and Kang Yumi were put left and right side. As a defensive midfielder, Cho Sohyun and Son Yunhee kept in step together. Lee Eunmi - Hwang Boram - Shin Damyeong - Kim Sooyun formed back four lines. Jun Minkyung kept the goal. Son Yunhee had her A-match debut on this day. Coach Yoon used 6 different starting members compared with the first match against Russia and continued his player experiment.

Park Eunseon was faithful to her role of target striker by creating place and tussling with defenders at the very front line. Although Park didn't seem in perfect condition because of injury, she played by actively using co-players. In the 30th, Park got a chance at the penalty box but it wasn’t connected into a shooting due to too long trapping. However, she had luck. In the 50th, the ball hit Park’s knee on an impulse and bounced to Ji Soyun. Ji Soyun didn’t hesitate and scored a goal by shooting on her right foot. That means Park helped Ji’s goal. Park was replaced with Yeo Minji in the 80th.

Ji Soyun actively moved up and down in order to make attacking routes. In the 17th, she gave kill pass to Jung Seolbin in front of the goal but Jung Seolbin’s shooting wasn’t accurate. Ji Soyun polished her sense with free kicks and header at the first half. After that, she made 2-0 score by making right foot shooting without delay in the 50th. However, Park Eunseon - Ji Soyun Combination play wasn’t remarkable so that it seems need to be complimented before the World Cup.

New blood becomes energizer

Women’s National Team’s atmosphere nearly confused as they were defeated three matches in a row in Cyprus Cup on last March under ace player’s injury such as Shim Seoyeon and Jeon Gaeul. Then, Coach Yoon made a change to reform the atmosphere. He made a competition system through calling players who haven’t participated in the national team such as Hwang Boram, Lee Eunmi, Kang Yumi and Lee Geummin. Coach Yoon’s prescription was right. Although the team organization seemed unstable because of the new players, it raised competitiveness of the national team.

In particular, center back Hwang Boram and side back Lee Eunmi did great job in both two matches against Russia. They played good enough to catch Coach Yoon’s eye. They showed their possibilities to compete with Lim Seonjoo and Kim Hyeri who couldn’t join the team this time because of the injury in WK league. Furthermore, Kang Yumi also showed active breakthrough and cross at the right side in both two matches so that give Coach Yoon a happy consideration.

Coach Yoon will concentrate on developing team’s strength in order to fight for strong teams and pulling attacking power into shape through domestic training on May.
