Top Tier of Amateur Football
The K3 League is the top amateur football league based on the bond with the local communities. The K3 League was officially launched in 2008, followed by an exhibition season. The league was renamed to the current K3 League in 2011. The K3 League is the fourth tier of the Korea football league below the K League Classic, the K League Challenge, and the National League and works as a foundation for the division system based on local communities and the support from fans.
